Piaffe Performance Presents Adult Amateur Achievement Award to Susan JonesPiaffe Performance continues to reward accomplished adult amateur riders at the 2016 Adequan Global Dressage Festival. During the show series’ Palm Beach Dressage Derby this past week, Susan Jones of Walton, Kentucky became the most recent recipient of the Piaffe Performance Adult Amateur Achievement Award.

Susan Jones accepted the award after after her performance in the Prix St. Georges with Reliance, a 13-year-old Classiker mare imported from Germany.

Reliance was sired by Rhodimont and out of Gesstine. Jones bought the horse from Kathy Priest around seven years ago, and the two have climbed the ranks together. Most notably, they won the GAIG/USDF Region 2 Championships, competeing amongst 33 other horses at First Level in 2011.

Friday marked their first Prix St. Georges test at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival. After the test, Jones stated, “We’re just going to continue getting better. I’m going to be here the rest of the weekend trying to perfect our test.”

And they did. The pair improved by almost two entire percentage points when they captured the blue ribbon for the week’s Sunday FEI Prix St. George Adult Amateur class.

Jones also competed throughout the weekend with her other horses Connaisseur and Lindor’s Finest.Piaffe Performance Presents Adult Amateur Achievement Award to Susan Jones
